Nanobomb

The term nanobomb can refer to two distinct nanodevice concepts, one nanomedical and the other military.

Nanomedical

A nanomedical nanobomb is a nanodevice whose purpose would be to destroy cancerous or other biological antagonists. The nanobomb would be inserted into the diseased or targeted area with nanoenabled therapies programmed or otherwise directed to stabilize or reverse the effects of the medical threat. Leading the effort in the development of the nanobomb are such prestigious research Universities as MIT, and The University of Michigan.

Nanoweaponry

A nanotechnology enabled military or terrorist “bomb”, or weapon, incorporating biological, chemical, nuclear or radiological components for the destruction of an enemy target or terrorist objective.
