Metallic Radius
Nanobearing
First hypothesized by Dr. K. Eric Drexler, a nanobearing is a nanodevice designed to act as a bearing of a nanomachine. Most recently, the Zettl Research Group of the University of California, Berkley, has been investigating techniques for making a linear bearing from nanotubes.
Also investigating the functionality of nanobearings is the Lawrence Berkley Laboratory's Materials Sciences Division, working in collaboration with the Zettl Research Group.
