nanoML: Nanodevice Markup Language

nanoML is a data markup language for the representation and interchange of nanodevice designs. nanoML includes the molecular components and structure of a nanodevice—as you might expect—but goes well beyond that to include information about the properties, interoperability, operational characteristics, display, and legal status of nanodevices.

Every nanoML File Describes a Single Molecular Device or Nanosystem

nanoML takes the form of an XML Schema and is compliant with the latest recommendation from the W3C. For more information, please review the nanoML FAQ.

To access nanoML documentation or download the nanoML Schema go to the nanoML Download Page.

It is our hope that nanoML will accelerate development
of molecular nanotechnology by providing a common language
for researchers, engineers and other interested parties.
Our commitment is to evolve nanoML consistent with the needs
of the nanotechnology community and move toward an open standard.
